Our mission.

To create a multi-generational space where both adults and children feel nourished, inspired, and genuinely connected.

To foster curiosity and creativity in families, individuals, and communities — through intentional design, shared experience, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to belong.

This is how The Curious Cup came to be.

The Curious Cup was built from a problem that turned out to be generational.

Michelle had it first. A young mom, looking for somewhere she could bring her kids, have a genuinely good cup of coffee, and feel like herself — not just a parent managing the chaos in a room that wasn't really built for her. That place didn't exist. Life moved on. Her daughter grew up.

Her daughter — Kaity — had two kids of her own. And ran straight into the same wall.

Two generations. The same gap. Still no solution. So they stopped waiting for one.

A story that takes place right here in Georgia.

Strong communities grow when people have a place to gather, belong, and return to. Buford is that community for us — and The Curious Cup is our contribution to it.

We're not a franchise. We're not a concept imported from somewhere else. We're a mother and daughter from this community who wanted to build something lasting, something that serves real families, and something that gives back in ways that actually matter.

Meet the team.

Behind every sip is a small, passionate team committed to thoughtful hospitality and meaningful connection.

Kaity Cagle

Kaity is the person in your life who always knows where to go, what to order, and exactly how to make an ordinary Tuesday feel like an occasion. She’s the one who remembered your birthday, found the restaurant with the bottomless mimosas and the weird wonderful thing you’ll be talking about for years, and somehow also fixed your problem on the way there.

She has two kids she’s obsessed with, a laugh that spreads before she even gets to the punchline, and a very specific vision for what a truly great experience looks and feels like. She’s been chasing that standard her whole life — and building it into every corner of The Curious Cup.

She’ll make you feel like you belong here before you’ve finished your first sip. That part isn’t accidental. That’s just Kaity.

Michelle Murdock

Michelle is the person at every gathering that nobody can quite explain — you just find yourself gravitating toward her without knowing why, and an hour later you realize you’ve told her something you’ve never told anyone. She has that gift. She’s also fully aware of it and uses it entirely for good.

She’s a mom of two, grandmother to the little ones who sparked all of this, and the kind of woman who will show up for you before you even knew you needed it — and quietly disappear before you can thank her. She loves a spectacular party, obsesses over the details that make an experience unforgettable, and has never encountered a concept she couldn’t see a more beautiful version of.

At The Curious Cup, Michelle leads the community programming and events — the experiences that make this place feel like somewhere you belong — and she runs The CuriUSity Project, because a woman who gives this freely doesn’t stop at the people she already knows.

The party gets better when Michelle arrives. It always has.

The CuriUSity Project.

Curiosity should never be a privilege.

The CuriUSity Project is the community arm of The Curious Cup — and it’s the reason this place was designed the way it was. We believe access to safe, enriching, creative space shouldn’t depend on income, zip code, or circumstance.

Through The CuriUSity Project, we fund community access passes, sponsor enrichment classes, and partner with local businesses and organizations to make sure more families can walk through our doors. A portion of every membership and sponsorship goes directly toward that mission.

No logos on the walls. Just real impact in the community — and stories worth telling.
